How is Russia scaring us? If they need to cut gas, let them shut it off; our people can live without gas. This opinion was expressed by member of the ruling Civil Contract party, Gurgen (Gagik) Melikyan, during an interview with Tert.am.

“If they need to cut gas, let them cut it; we don’t want that gas anyway, our people can live without gas. We have overcome so many difficulties. What do they want? If they are going to close Lars, let them close it,” said the government representative, emphasizing that Russia is no longer Armenia's strategic ally.
