Abductions of People in Nagorno-Karabakh Are a Dangerous Phenomenon: Armenian Ombudsman
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, considers the abduction of people by Azerbaijani armed forces in Nagorno-Karabakh to be a dangerous phenomenon. She made this statement during a conversation with journalists following a government meeting.
“Regarding our citizens' situation, I can say that from the perspective of human rights protection, this is an extremely dangerous phenomenon. All of this occurs in violation of international guarantees related to the limitation of human rights,” she emphasized.
Speaking about the detention of the former Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, Ruben Vardanyan, Manasyan highlighted that she is in communication with international partners and is providing them with the relevant information.
