Only 4,002 Displaced Persons Have Used State-Provided Shelters
Out of 42,500 displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, only 4,002 have utilized the state-provided shelters. This was reported by the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
According to her, after crossing the Kornidzor station, citizens are registered at the humanitarian centers in Goris or Vayk, and only after that, the distribution takes place.
"This is emergency assistance, and our primary goal at the moment is to provide a certain shelter for the Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, after which other living arrangements will be provided," she said.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, also emphasized the importance of displaced citizens from Nagorno-Karabakh who are not yet registered to connect with the territorial centers of the Unified Social Service and register.
