Ministry of Education's Clarification on Discussions Regarding the 'Mother Language 5' Textbook
Due to the implementation of the new standards in general education, a new textbook titled 'Mother Language 5' has been created (Mother Language 5th Grade Textbook, A. Galstyan, T. Tovmasyan, 'Edit Print' Publishing, Yerevan 2023), which has entered into use starting from the 2023-2024 academic year. This textbook has already been printed and delivered to schools, and its electronic version is also available on the Textbook Circulation Foundation website and the KTAC resource repository: https://tinyurl.com/st7m7avt. With the introduction of new textbooks, the former textbooks are no longer used in schools.
At the same time, we inform you that the previous 'Mother Language 5' textbook (Part 1, Part 2, authors: Davit Gyurjinyan, Tamara Aleksanyan, Ashot Galstyan, 'Edit Print' publication) was first approved in 2006 and for the second time in 2011 by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, and was regularly reprinted until 2023 based on its usage periods. The electronic versions of textbooks used in schools are published on the Textbook Circulation Foundation website, dshh.am, where the composition of this textbook has been guaranteed with the image of the Armenian tricolor: https://tinyurl.com/3era57ea. The composition of this textbook, with a different color image, has never been approved for use in schools.
News circulating on the internet stating that the Ministry has approved a textbook with the colors of the Azerbaijani flag is misinformation and has no relation to reality. Dear citizens, we kindly ask you not to succumb to manipulations and unfounded tricks. Before disseminating any information or engaging in discussions about it, it is necessary to verify its accuracy on official platforms.
