The Biggest Threat in the Region is More Than 10,000 Armenian Armed Forces, Bayramov to Abdollahian
The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian. This was announced on Twitter by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The heads of the departments discussed bilateral and regional issues, as well as the situation in the region in the post-conflict period. During the phone call, the recent issues and future actions resulted from the last meetings between the co-chairs of the Azerbaijani-Iranian state commission for economic, trade, and humanitarian cooperation were addressed.
Bayramov stated that despite Azerbaijan's proposed peaceful initiatives and efforts to normalize relations, the ongoing military-political provocations against Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty by the leadership of Armenia have undermined those efforts.
It was emphasized that Prime Minister Pashinyan's congratulations to what he referred to as a "separatist regime" on September 2 is completely contrary to his statements supporting Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Moreover, the illegal activities of the so-called “electoral” regime established by Armenia were condemned. It was noted that the biggest threat in the region is the more than 10,000 Armenian armed forces.
