A criminal case has been opened for inducing suicide in connection with the death of Yana Zelenskaya, the wife of well-known Russian blogger Alexey Romanov. This was reported to Auroranews by Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
“We received a report regarding the woman’s suicide. A criminal proceeding has been initiated based on the first part of Article 162 of the RA Criminal Code (inducing a person to commit suicide or attempt suicide through threats, cruel treatment, or humiliating their dignity),” he stated.
According to Abrahamyan, an examination of the crime scene has been conducted. No signs of violence were found during the external examination of the body.
“A forensic examination has been appointed. The final conclusions will, of course, be provided by the examination. The preliminary investigation is ongoing at this time,” Abrahamyan noted.
It is worth recalling that on September 14, at approximately 21:30, an emergency call was received by the police from the Yerevan 1-03 ambulance service, reporting that a woman’s body had been discovered in one of the apartments on T’pagrichner Street, Building 6. It has been revealed that the deceased woman in Yerevan was the wife of blogger Alexey Romanov. Alexey Romanov is from Khabarovsk and is a former presenter and journalist.
