VIDEO: Is the prospect of Goris airport operational? MP to the Minister

During a question-and-answer session with the Government in the National Assembly, MP Armen Khachatryan asked the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, whether the prospect of launching Goris airport in Syunik region is realistic.

“Yes, we have received directives in that direction and have already carried out certain works initially within our ministry and then with the Civil Aviation Committee. Additionally, a working group has been dispatched to Syunik to familiarize themselves with the current situation and outline the necessary actions,” the minister replied.

According to the minister, the tasks can be divided into two parts: the actual runway and the accompanying infrastructure such as buildings that need to serve the citizens.
