Aftershocks of 4.5 Magnitude Registered in Morocco
Aftershocks of 4.5 magnitude have been recorded in Morocco following the strong earthquake that occurred on September 8. This was reported by Al Jazeera.
It is noteworthy that the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that at 02:11 Yerevan time on September 9, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred in Morocco, 80 km from Marrakech. According to the Moroccan National Geophysical Institute, the strength of the earthquake was rated at 7 on the Richter scale.
A three-day mourning period has been declared in the country. The death toll from the earthquake in Morocco has reached 2012.
