Most Americans Believe Biden is Too Old to Run for Re-election: Polls
A majority of Americans believe that 80-year-old President Joe Biden is too old to run for re-election, according to a survey conducted by the Wall Street Journal, as reported by Ria.ru.
“Despite the fact that the difference between the candidates is only three years, 73% of respondents believe Biden is too old for a second term, while 47% feel the same about Trump,” the report states.
When it comes to the personal qualities of the candidates, voters' opinions are nearly equal. For instance, 42% believe Biden cares about average citizens, while 43% said the same about Trump.
According to the survey, 46% think Trump is mentally prepared to be president, while only 36% said the same about Biden.
The poll was conducted from August 24 to 30 through phone and online surveys, with 1,500 registered voters participating.
