Putin Reveals How the West Deceived Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a press conference following a meeting with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that the West has deceived Russia regarding the humanitarian nature of the grain deal.
“To put it mildly, the West deceived us about the humanitarian goals of the Black Sea initiative aimed at supporting developing countries,” said the state leader.
According to him, more than 70% of the 32.8 million tons of cargo exported from Ukraine has been directed to wealthy countries, primarily EU nations. He noted that the share of needy countries constituted only 3%, less than 1 million tons.
Putin also mentioned that while Russia was ensuring security along the grain corridor, “the other side” was using humanitarian corridors for terrorist attacks.
