Are Water Cuts in Yerevan Emergency or Planned? Avinyan
During a regular operational meeting of the Yerevan Municipality, Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan inquired with a representative of Veolia Water whether the water cuts in Yerevan were emergency or planned.
“In the last month, the company has not carried out any planned water cuts. All water cuts have been due to emergency works,” noted Mkhitar Galstyan, the head of operations for Veolia Water in Yerevan.
According to Galstyan, the amount of water in the pipes increases during summer, but due to their old age, they cannot withstand the pressure.
