German Government Approves Bill for Recreational Cannabis Use
Today, the German government has approved a controversial groundbreaking bill that will allow adults to purchase and hold small amounts of cannabis for recreational use, reports Euronews.
The decision, which still needs to be adopted by parliament, will permit adults to possess up to 25 grams of cannabis and cultivate a maximum of 3 plants for personal use. They will also be able to purchase cannabis by joining non-profit "cannabis clubs," which will be allowed to have up to 500 members.
Currently, cannabis is legal in Germany for limited medical purposes and cultivation.
