Yerevan Acquires 4 New Garbage Trucks for 196 Million Dram
The "Maz" brand garbage trucks have joined the fleet of the "Yerevan Waste Management and Sanitary Cleaning" municipal enterprise. This was announced by the Yerevan City Hall.
The new garbage trucks were purchased by the community for approximately 196 million dram, accompanied by a two-year factory warranty.
According to the director of the enterprise, the garbage collection issues that arose in the city weeks ago have already been resolved. The cause was vehicle malfunctions.
From tires to household appliances, citizens often leave construction waste near garbage bins, which complicates operations and leads to vehicle breakdowns.
Garbage collection in Yerevan is conducted around the clock in two shifts, with 150-180 tons of waste transported daily to landfill during these summer months.
Yerevan City Hall plans to additionally acquire garbage trucks and necessary equipment for street cleaning next year.
