Moscow Values Any Efforts to Achieve Fair and Sustainable Peace - Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Moscow values any efforts to achieve a fair and sustainable peace. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
The head of the Foreign Ministry noted that it is impossible to achieve justice in any conflict if the rights of national minorities are not upheld. He does not consider this an alternative for Ukraine, where the Russian language has always been the mother tongue for the majority of the population.
According to him, the West is directing all its efforts towards imposing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's "peace formula" on the "global south", demanding a return to the borders of 1991. However, Western countries say nothing about Ukraine's position regarding the issue of control.
