The Fate of 68-Year-Old Vagif Khachatryan Abducted by Azerbaijan is Currently Unknown: Artsakh Ombudsman
68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia for medical treatment under the escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross, has been abducted by representatives of the Azerbaijani border service and taken in an unknown direction.
This was reported by Gegham Stepanyan, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh.
“No relatives, representatives of the ICRC, or Russian peacekeepers are with the abducted patient. At this time, his fate is unknown. The Human Rights Defender’s office continues to gather facts regarding the incident,” Stepanyan noted.
