International and European Federations of Journalists Appeal to Azerbaijan

The International Federation of Journalists and the European Federation of Journalists are calling on the Azerbaijani authorities and Russian peacekeepers to ensure the free movement of journalists in Artsakh.

“Yesterday, we attempted to reach Stepanakert with Énthony Bellanjeri and Mushfiq Alasgarli, a city internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan but inhabited by ethnic Armenians. We were obstructed by the Azerbaijani army just 100 meters from the Russian checkpoint,” the organization stated on its page.

Mushfiq Alasgarli is Azerbaijani, while Énthony Bellanjeri is from Brussels.
