Body of Police Officer Discovered Hanging in Garage of Own Home
On July 20, a suicide occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 3:50 AM, the Erevan Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a suicide had taken place in the garage of one of the houses in Sari Tagh. This was reported by shamshyan.com.
An operational group from the Erevan Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene. A team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Erevan city investigative department for the administrative districts of Erbuni and Nubaraashen also arrived.
Police officers and investigators discovered the body of a 32-year-old resident, identified as V.A., hanging by a rope in the garage. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the body during the external examination.
According to the publication, the deceased was serving in one of the military units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' police forces.
A criminal case has been initiated by the investigatory department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for the administrative districts of Erbuni and Nubaraashen. By the investigator's decision, a forensic examination of the body has been appointed.
Notification: A person suspected or accused of a crime is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia with a legally binding court verdict.
