Peskov Considers Exclusion of Russian and Belarusian Athletes from Olympic Games Unjustified
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) decision to exclude Russia and Belarus from the 2024 Olympic Games.
“We do not consider the IOC's decision to be justified. We believe that our athletes should have the right to compete in international competitions, and to protect their rights, we will continue to work with everyone, including the IOC,” said Peskov.
Earlier, the IOC announced the criteria under which Russian and Belarusian athletes may return to international competitions.
