Photos: Rainwater Floods Yerevan-Etchmiadzin Highway Due to Clogged Drains

Today, July 11, heavy rainfall has created an emergency situation on the Yerevan-Etchmiadzin highway in the Parakar village section of Yerevan street. This is reported by shamshyan.com.

Due to the clogging of the drainage systems, rainwater has flooded the entire road, making traffic nearly impassable.

“Whenever it rains, this approximately 2 km long road becomes impassable. You don’t even know whom to turn to—the Yerevan municipality or the Armavir regional administration; it’s of no use. We want to know which agency is responsible. It was lucky this time, the rain was light. But when heavy rainfall occurs, this Yerevan street turns into a mini-Venice, and instead of cars, we should be moving with boats,” said the local residents.

According to the media, citizens are calling for either the Yerevan municipality or the Armavir regional administration to compel “Veolia Water” to resolve this issue.
