Sochi Flights Diverting to Alternate Airports Amid Heavy Rains

Due to heavy rains in Sochi, flights have begun to be redirected en masse to alternative airports. This information was reported by Interfax, referencing the press service of Sochi Airport.

It is noted that within the past day, 17 aircraft have departed for alternative airports to ensure passenger safety.

Meanwhile, starting at 2:00 AM Moscow time, Sochi Airport has resumed regular operations and has already received 15 of the 17 diverted aircraft. This indicates that the airport is operating according to actual weather conditions and is servicing all arriving flights, with the remaining two flights expected shortly, according to the press service.
