Over 9000 Ukrainian Civilians Have Died Since Russia's Invasion, According to the UN
According to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, as of June 30, a total of 9,177 Ukrainian civilians have been killed since the beginning of the conflict. Among them are 535 children. Additionally, 15,993 individuals have been injured, including 1,095 children.
Most frequently (in about 90% of cases), fatalities occur as a result of missile strikes.
The UN emphasizes that the real number of casualties could be higher, as collecting information in areas occupied by the Russian army is challenging.
