Zelensky Has Always Supported Earlier Counteroffensive Initiatives

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has stated that he has supported the idea of initiating counteroffensives earlier during discussions with U.S. authorities and European leaders. This was reported by TASS.

“Because if we start later, we will move much more slowly,” he remarked.

Zelensky also asserts that he has been trying to acquire weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in preparation for the counteroffensive. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to Western allies for their support of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader further explained the reasons behind the slow progress of the counteroffensive, noting that “the area is heavily mined.” According to Zelensky, artillery and long-range missiles will help accelerate the counteroffensive.
