Sweden Will Not Be Able to Join NATO in Vilnius: Stoltenberg
Sweden will not be able to join NATO at the summit scheduled to take place in Vilnius on July 11-12. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to him, Turkey simply will not have enough time to ratify Sweden's application, even if they wish to do so. However, a political decision could be made at the upcoming summit.
Stoltenberg promised to hold a meeting on July 10 with representatives from Sweden and Turkey to resolve the disagreements.
