Who Will Free the Country from Power: Aghvan Vardanyan Compiles a List of 250 People
Feeling of danger, fear, and the usual behavior of the ruling Civil Contract party. During a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, MP Aghvan Vardanyan described the question posed by a Civil Contract MP regarding his statement and the Prime Minister's response.
MP Hasmik Hakobyan from the Civil Contract faction asked the Prime Minister whether there were any concerns regarding Aghvan Vardanyan's intentions to solve issues with the help of "political suicides." The Prime Minister noted that law enforcement agencies should respond to Vardanyan's statement.
Regarding the suicides, the Prime Minister expressed hope that there would be a special unit of draft dodgers from the 44-day war in that suicide list to address the issue. In response, Aghvan Vardanyan assured that no member of the Civil Contract party would be included in his list, thus, there would be no draft dodgers either.
He indicated that he has already compiled a list of about 200-250 people and does not rule out that he might publish the names at some point without talking to them first. They will decide for themselves whether they are ready to bear this responsibility or not.
It is noteworthy that Aghvan Vardanyan mentioned that to address the challenges facing the country, a political elite needs to be formed. He emphasized that only about 100 people are needed, who will completely agree with each other and be willing to go all the way, even to the point of self-sacrifice.
