Washington Pressures Artsakh to Meet with Azerbaijani Representatives in a Third Country
The United States is pressuring Artsakh to meet with Azerbaijan, threatening a counter-terrorism operation if they refuse. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a diplomatic source in Washington.
“In an ultimatum format, Washington is forcing representatives of Artsakh to agree to meet with the Azerbaijani side in a ‘third country’ with the participation of American coordinators. The goal is to engage the U.S. in the region,” the agency's source stated.
According to the source from RIA Novosti, if Artsakh's leadership refuses to participate in such dialogue, they are threatened with a regional Azerbaijani ‘counter-terrorism operation.’
Furthermore, it was noted that Artsakh's ‘foreign minister’ Sergey Ghazaryan is lobbying for the American ‘peacekeeping initiative,’ which aligns completely with Azerbaijani interests.
