"Do Not Dare": Robert Kocharian Makes a Statement
The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, has made a statement on his Facebook page.
"I consider the ultimatum demands directed at the Presidents by the parliamentary majority of Artsakh to be inappropriate and offensive. Did you only just realize what is happening? Are you that naïve? Even with great desire, it was impossible not to see that there has been a clear surrender of Artsakh over the past two years. We have talked about this publicly and on all occasions.
The Artsakh National Assembly, with its majority (except for four deputies), under its leaders, has not responded in any way to our warnings. You supported the Armenian authorities during the elections in 2021. You 'did not notice' the mass protests happening in Yerevan last April-May. By your obedience and desire to please the Armenian authorities, you allowed Artsakh's fate to be decided without your participation. Therefore, do not dare to shift the blame from the sick head to the healthy one. And surely it is not you who can judge the level of my patriotism. My approaches have not changed — we must fight for the Homeland, not pretend to fight."
