Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Statement
On May 19, talks were held in Moscow between Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mirzoyan and Bayramov presented their positions on the implementation of the trilateral statements made by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
The parties continued work on the draft agreement on "Establishing Peace and Inter-State Relations." There was a constructive exchange of ideas on issues where the parties have disagreements.
The ministers expressed their appreciation to the Russian side for organizing the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The parties agreed to continue discussions.
The ministers also held separate meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
