Topic of Providing F-16s to Ukraine May Be Discussed Within G7 Framework, White House
The topic of providing F-16s to Ukraine may be discussed within the framework of the G7, but such an issue is not on the agenda of the summit, according to John Kirby, the U.S. National Security Council's Coordinator for Strategic Communications, in an interview with CNN.
He also noted that the situation in Ukraine and the topic of assistance to Kyiv will be addressed at the upcoming G7 summit. "However, regarding specific measures such as the F-16s, this is not a separate item on the agenda, but (the topic) may arise in the summit's corridors," Kirby stated.
Earlier, the White House announced that the U.S. is not yet ready to provide further details regarding the potential supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
