Messi Could Leave PSG Early
Argentina national team captain Lionel Messi may soon terminate his contract with PSG, according to Transfer News Live, referencing Le Parisien.
The forward could become a free agent within ten days and may not finish the French football league season.
Earlier, the club decided to suspend the player from the main squad for two weeks due to Messi's unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia and his absence from team training.
In August 2021, the Argentine joined PSG. His contract with the club is set to expire in June 2023.
Media outlets have reported on the possibility of the World Champion transferring to one of the MLS clubs or to Saudi Arabia. Another potential option for continuing the 2022 World Champion's career is a return to Barcelona, where Messi played from 2003 to 2021.
