«I Haven't Seen or Communicated with Nikol Pashinyan for 1.5 Years» - Samvel Babayan

In a conversation with Artsakh Public Television, former Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan stated, “If I am a person of Nikol Pashinyan, why am I talking about strengthening the army, forming a professional army, solving social and economic issues, and building roads?”

According to Babayan, he is the only person who emphasizes that Artsakh held a referendum in 1991 and signed a Declaration of Independence, which cannot be contested. “I stress that our only path is to be independent. When they ask Arayik Harutyunyan why I am not being appointed, he says Nikol Pashinyan is against it. If those conversations are true, why is Nikol Pashinyan against it? I haven’t seen or communicated with Nikol Pashinyan for 1.5 years. The issues they are addressing today are unacceptable to me. Nikol Pashinyan and I are on opposite political poles,” Babayan stated.
