Zelensky Signs Bill on Citizenship Examination in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a bill that mandates a compulsory examination on the Constitution, history, and knowledge of the state language for obtaining citizenship in Ukraine.
According to RIA Novosti, the status of the relevant bill on the website of the Verkhovna Rada indicates that it has been signed by the head of state.
The bill was adopted by the Ukrainian parliament at the end of March. Earlier, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk had allowed Polish to be included in the list of examinations for university admissions.
