VIDEO: “There is a teacher in Khnadzor village earning 450,000 drams,” Andreasian

“As a result of the voluntary certification process, we have 5.5% of beneficiary teachers who are already receiving additional payments, according to last year’s data,” said Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian during the report on the implementation and results of the government program for 2021-2026 in the National Assembly.

“In general, as a result of the voluntary certification, the average monthly income of a teacher is 250,000 drams, which is double the previous salary of 125,000 drams. The maximum salary reaches 450,000 drams. Currently, there is a teacher in Khnadzor village of Syunik who earns 450,000 drams,” the minister stated.

According to her, she is releasing these facts to clarify that the program is not limited to teachers in Yerevan only.
