What the Newly Appointed Human Rights Defender Declared
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'Yesterday, the ruling bloc in the National Assembly elected Anahit Manasyan, the Deputy Prosecutor General, as the Human Rights Defender with 69 votes in favor. According to Anahit Manasyan's 2022 asset and income declaration, which she submitted upon her appointment as Deputy Prosecutor General, she owns 2 apartments, one of which is held under sole ownership, while the other is co-owned. Both apartments are located in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. One was acquired in 1995, and the other in 2015.
Manasyan has one Ford brand vehicle, and her bank deposits include 9 million 300 thousand AMD, 9 thousand 326 USD, and 9 thousand 123 EUR. In 2022, her bank accounts contained 23 thousand 654 EUR, 204 USD, and 16 million 401 thousand AMD. During the same period, her cash assets amounted to 6 thousand 600 USD, 4 thousand 750 EUR, and 140 thousand AMD.'
