Russia advocates for the full unblocking of the Lachin Corridor. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a weekly briefing.
“We stand for the complete unblocking of the Lachin Corridor, and corresponding efforts are being made by our country's Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with the command of the peacekeeping troops and our department (Russian Foreign Ministry),” Zakharova stated.
According to her, Armenian and Azerbaijani partners have detailed proposals in this regard. “Peacekeepers are addressing issues of providing food and essential goods to the people of Artsakh, tens of tons of humanitarian cargo are imported daily,” noted the Russian diplomat.
She emphasized that Moscow expects a prompt regulation of the situation based on trilateral agreements aimed at advancing the normalization of bilateral relations.
