Egypt Attempted to Secretly Supply 40,000 Missiles to Russia
Egypt was supposed to manufacture tens of thousands of missiles for the needs of the Russian army, with their production and transfer being kept secret from Western countries, according to a report by the American newspaper, The Washington Post, referencing one of the alleged confidential documents from the U.S. government, which is currently being investigated by the Pentagon and the U.S. Department of Justice.
According to the document dated February 17, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi instructed senior military officials to produce up to 40,000 missiles for delivery to Russia. Additionally, the head of state demanded that information about the production and transportation of the shells be kept confidential “to avoid problems with the West,” WP notes.
It is important to recall that American media recently discovered over a hundred secret documents circulating on social networks. Some of these pertain to military assistance provided to Ukraine by the U.S. and its allies and preparations for Kyiv's counteroffensive. Others contain information regarding the Middle East, China, and the surveillance of partners.
