Sergey Lavrov States That Moscow Views the European Union as a Hostile Entity
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Moscow considers the European Union to be a hostile entity. In an interview with the newspaper Arguments and Facts, the foreign minister remarked, “The European Union has ‘lost’ Russia, but this is its own fault. After all, it is the member states of the EU and the leaders of the Union themselves who openly declare the necessity of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.”
For these reasons, we view the EU as a hostile entity,” the diplomat asserted.
Lavrov also noted that the EU is providing Ukraine with weapons, as well as sending instructors and mercenaries. According to him, Russia has drawn appropriate conclusions and will act “harshly if necessary.”
