We Want to Establish Peace Between Russia and Ukraine 'As Soon As Possible': Erdogan
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a press conference after talks with his Hungarian counterpart in Ankara that he is eager to organize peace negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
"We want to establish peace between Ukraine and Russia as soon as possible and end the conflict by reaching peace at the negotiating table," said the Turkish leader. He also reminded that earlier the Russian and Ukrainian sides had already held talks in Istanbul.
It is noteworthy that Erdogan recently announced regular communications with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In his view, continuous negotiations with both sides of the conflict are a crucial condition for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis. He also stated his intention to continue these negotiations until the end.
