VIDEO: I Plan to Visit Yerevan and Baku at the End of April, Says French Foreign Minister
The French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna is planning to visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in April. The minister announced this during a speech in the French Senate.
“From the very beginning, France has condemned the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan. This blockade increases tensions. I am planning to visit Baku and Yerevan at the end of April to convey that message. France is taking measures,” said Colonna.
The French Foreign Minister noted that Nagorno-Karabakh is not receiving enough food, and “it is only through the Red Cross, which France assists, that this is happening.”
“It is necessary to restore free movement through the Lachin corridor and to better ensure the supply to Nagorno-Karabakh. France does not just talk; it acts,” she stated.
It should be noted that since December 12 at 10:30 AM, the connection of the Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen, and Yeghdzahogh villages in the Shushi region with the capital Stepanakert has been interrupted. A group of Azerbaijanis in civilian clothing has closed the Stepanakert-Goris highway under the pretext of environmental reasons.
