Borrell did not mention Putin's name, stating that the EU is ready to defend The Hague court
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated that the EU is prepared to defend the Hague ICC against "any external interference aimed at obstructing justice" and condemned threats directed at him by a "senior Russian official," reports Mir.
It is noted that Borrell did not provide the name of the "senior Russian official." On March 20, after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote: "Alas, gentlemen, everyone is walking under God and missiles. It is entirely possible to imagine the targeted use of a hypersonic carrier from a Russian ship in the North Sea against The Hague court. Unfortunately, it will not be hit."
