Video: The Golden Toilet in Hovik Abrahamyan's House is More Expensive than Some Officials' Apartments, Says Alexanyan
According to Vahagn Alexanyan, a member of the Armenian Parliament's 'Civil Contract' faction, it seems that the golden toilet in Hovik Abrahamyan's house is much more expensive than the apartments of certain officials, which are to be paid off in a 20-year mortgage. In a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly, Alexanyan addressed the circumstances surrounding Defense Minister Suren Papikyan's apartment acquisition.
'To compare with my own experience, before becoming a member of parliament, I had one car, and I still have the same car. I do not own real estate; I am considering purchasing an apartment with a mortgage like our colleagues and your colleagues,' he stated.
Concerning Suren Papikyan's house, which was mentioned, I believe that the article was published by 'Hetq.' I would also like to congratulate the deputy director of 'Hetq,' who also has an apartment in the same 'Buryul' residential complex. This means that in Armenia, journalists buying apartments in the same buildings with ministers under the same mortgage conditions are accusing these ministers of corruption. If journalists' salaries are now higher than the ministers' salaries, that is very interesting to me,' the parliament member added.
