British Animal Advocates Propose Restaurants Serve Grey Squirrel Dishes

British animal rights advocates have suggested that restaurants serve dishes made from grey squirrel meat. This was reported by Комсомольская правда.

The issue is that grey squirrels are pressing down on the red squirrels, which are now at risk of extinction. The organization dedicated to animal protection believes that grey rodents truly belong “in stews, pies, and barbecues.”

“I have eaten grey squirrel before, and it tastes great, similar to rabbit. It’s perfect to leave it in a slow cooker and eat it boiled,” said one of the project leaders, Kerry Hosgood.

He also urges locals to stop feeding grey squirrels and even set traps in gardens or yards to capture the pests.
