VIDEO: Protesters Take to the Streets Again in Tbilisi
People in Tbilisi have taken to the streets again for a protest. At 5:00 PM, Georgia's largest opposition party, the "United National Movement," plans to start a rally.
Recall that on March 7, the Georgian parliament, during a plenary session, adopted the law on “foreign agents” in the first reading. The document closely mirrors a similar law in Russia.
The provisions of the bill suggest that some NGOs and media outlets will be labeled as “foreign influence agents.” A similar law is already in effect in the Russian Federation.
