Notable Azerbaijani Activity along the Contact Line, Says MP Tigran Abrahamyan
The main objective of Azerbaijan's recent provocations is to create pressure within the context of various negotiations with Artsakh.
This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the "Honorary Title" faction, on his Facebook page.
“In recent days, both the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Artsakh Defense Army have reported breaches of the ceasefire regime provoked by Azerbaijan in various sections of the frontline. Although official statements do not provide details, there is noticeable Azerbaijani activity along the contact line. I would like to note that this trend has manifested itself at least over the past 20 days,” Abrahamyan said.
The Azerbaijani provocations are mainly occurring against the backdrop of increasing agricultural activities and attempts are being made to create issues for the personnel conducting combat duty of the Defense Army, yet the main goal remains to exert pressure within the context of various negotiations with Artsakh.
Incidentally, in recent days, Azerbaijan has been primarily targeting the technical support means along the frontline.
“Why is Azerbaijan becoming more active along the frontline? There are various factors related to this question, but the key point is that since the closure of the "Lachin Corridor," Azerbaijan has applied various pressure mechanisms, including gas and electricity disruptions, which, due to improving weather conditions, are gradually losing their effect. Azerbaijan is attempting to modify these accordingly, which results in a certain increase in activity at the frontline,” he added.
