Merchant In Dispute With Hovik Aghazaryan Released
The individual who was arrested following a scuffle between Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the National Assembly's Civil Contract faction, and a merchant has been released. This was announced by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.
“As of now, no criminal charges have been initiated against any individual in this case, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing,” stated Gor Abrahamyan.
It is noteworthy that on March 3, a confrontation occurred between MP Hovik Aghazaryan and a potato seller on Tigran Street in Yerevan. The parliament member reported to journalists that he was conducting business with his wife when he noticed that some part of the roadway was blocked by merchants selling vegetables. He urged them to clear the path, which was met with resistance from the traders, leading to the altercation.
Hovik Aghazaryan filed a report about the incident with the police. The MP was recognized as the injured party, while the merchant was detained.
