Ararat Mirzoyan and Bashar al-Assad Hold Meeting: What Was Discussed
On February 23, in Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad of the Syrian Arab Republic received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan. The interlocutors discussed the situation in the disaster-affected areas of Syria and the efforts made to address existing problems.
Also on the agenda were issues concerning Armenian-Syrian bilateral relations. The parties addressed cooperation on international platforms and discussed regional and international security matters.
The Armenian Foreign Minister presented the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations process to the Syrian President, as well as the humanitarian crisis created by Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.
