Video: We will go to the supervisory body with 10-12 people to provide a final solution, says ‘Malatia’ market director
“Dear community, I have come out to ask you to go home, and with 10-12 of your friends, we will go to the supervisory body. There’s no need to stay here and wait: I don’t want you to stay and get sick,” said Samvel Avetisyan, the director of the ‘Malatia’ market.
“I urge you to go home. We will gather here tomorrow morning at 9:30. Right now, we need to go to the supervisory body to discuss our situation. We are not opposing the supervisory body; they have informed us of the violations, and we are making the necessary corrections. We just want to work,” Avetisyan stated, addressing the employees who had gathered in protest.
The director announced that he would meet with the head of the supervisory body, Garegin Khachatryan, today with 10-12 employees. They had arranged with the supervisory body yesterday morning to allow them to operate, but in the evening, inspectors arrived and checked the entire premises: “They saw that it wasn’t too much of a fire hazard. Today, we are expecting an answer regarding how many days we are given to correct the deficiencies.”
Let us remind you that based on the decision of the head of the Urban Development, Technical, and Fire Safety Supervisory Body, the ‘Malatia’ market is officially closed starting today, February 1.
