Chelsea Pays Record Fee for Fernandez Transfer

Chelsea has agreed to pay €120 million for Enzo Fernandez, although this amount will not be transferred immediately, as reported by Euro-football.

Benfica has firmly rejected the release of the 22-year-old player under those conditions. After prolonged negotiations, both parties have come to an agreement regarding the transfer.

Chelsea will pay the €120 million in six installments, marking a record fee in English football.

Enzo Fernandez became a world champion with the Argentina national team in December 2022. The 22-year-old Fernandez was awarded the best young player at this World Cup.
