David Galstyan (Patron Davo) Arrested
David Galstyan (Patron Davo), who is involved in arms supply, has been arrested. The information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by his lawyer, Armen Andrikyan.
While the lawyer did not disclose the details regarding the case leading to the arrest, he added that a detention order has been submitted.
Yesterday, 'Hraparak' reported that masked individuals had entered David Galstyan's home and brought him to the National Security Service (NSS).
It is worth noting that on September 30, 2021, the NSS announced that former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and arms supplier David Galstyan had been arrested on suspicion of committing particularly large-scale theft. Since September 30, both Tonoyan and Galstyan have been in custody.
In March 2022, the Court of Appeals released David Galstyan, involved in arms supply, on a 50 million dram bail.
This case has also led to charges against Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan, head of the aviation technical property service of the Ministry of Defense's Aviation Department Artyom Hambaryan, and Chief Engineer of the Aviation Department Vladimir Babayan.
