Humanitarian Cargo Sent from Armenia Has Not Reached Artsakh: Artsakh Information Headquarters
The Artsakh Information Headquarters reports, in response to media inquiries, that due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to the outside world by Azerbaijan, a humanitarian crisis has emerged. As a result, the 100 tons of food donated by the Armenia All-Armenian Foundation, along with more than 250 tons of humanitarian cargo sent by various charitable organizations from Armenia and abroad, as well as New Year gifts intended for the children of Artsakh, unfortunately, remain in the city of Goris and it is still impossible to deliver them to Artsakh due to the road closure.
“We also inform that negotiations are ongoing with the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces regarding the delivery of humanitarian cargo to the Republic of Artsakh amid this crisis situation. Should the opportunity arise to transport humanitarian cargo to Artsakh, it will be stored at the Ministry of Social Development and Migration of Artsakh and distributed free of charge to socially vulnerable groups according to the ministry's lists,” the statement reads.
