Turkey Halts NATO Membership Talks for Sweden and Finland: Cavusoglu
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has announced that Turkey has halted negotiations regarding the NATO membership of Sweden and Finland.
Days ago, it was reported that talks between Turkey, Sweden, and Finland concerning NATO membership had been postponed indefinitely at Ankara’s request. “At our request, the trilateral mechanism between Turkey, Sweden, and Finland has been canceled indefinitely,” said the source.
According to the source, the next meeting under this mechanism was scheduled to take place in February in Brussels.
